Miguel de la Borda Beach
It is a true Caribbean beach! Clear water, many palms, wide and more than 1 kilometer long. It is located at Costa Abajo in the small, but very nice village called Miguel de la Borda.
Cuango Beach
Cuango is a typical small Caribbean village – beach, ocean, palm trees, fishing boats, dirt roads and simple houses. This small town is located 3 hours from Panama City on the mouth of the river Cuango.
San Lorenzo Fort
Situated on a cliff overlooking the mouth of the Chagres River are the ruins of the ancient Spanish Fuerte San Lorenzo (San Lorenzo Fort). The fort was build in 1597 as part of the fortification to protect the coast from pirate attacks.
Río Sucio Beach
Thanks to its secluded location this Caribbean beach is totally unspoilt and only rarely you can meet somebody there. It is an ideal beach for those who love nature and tranquility to relax far away from civilization.
José del Mar Trail
In this article we want to show you a path which will drive you from a small fishermen´s village Jose del Mar to a beautiful bay inside the Portobelo National Park – Playa Blanca. The walk start at the village Jose del Mar, which is about 20 km from Portobelo.
Bera Quera
Bera Quera is a small indigenous community located on the banks of the Chagres river within the national park. Due to its proximity to Panama City is ideal for one day trip. When you reach the village you will hear the sounds of traditional drums.
